Rachel Fleishman is a Program Administrator with the faculty-led team at GEO and helps George Mason faculty plan, promote, and execute their short-term study abroad programs. Following a passion for living abroad and engaging with people from other cultures, Rachel signed up for intensive Spanish lessons in Costa Rica after college and stayed for two years, working first as a volunteer and then as an employee of an NGO focused on Sustainable Development. She worked as a Global Programs coordinator at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, for eight years before joining the GEO team at George Mason. Rachel has a wide variety of academic interests and pursuits. She earned a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Vassar College in New York, a Masters in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University, and a PhD in Public Administration from Syracuse University. She loves helping faculty design immersive and transformative study abroad experiences.
